New Hires at Eat Dubai!

With eat quickly expanding to other markets in the Middle East, we’ve had to expand our team! We’re super happy to announce our new team members who will be leading eat’s various projects in Dubai. The Emirate-based team has already been in operation for some time, and has been responsible for driving eat’s market acquisition in the United Arab Emirates.

Based out of our trendy offices located in the Business Bay area, these guys are rocking it! Key trends? They’re all foodies, think they can cut it as a Master Chef judges, and are all-round rockstars at work.

Tracey Norman, Business Development
Hailing from Birmingham, England, Tracy is our long-time UAE resident, having been in Dubai for the past eight years. This girl was made for eat; she’s another entrepreneurial spirit (we love those!), having tried her luck with her own food truck business, has her very own food blog and is a passionate cook. Prior to joining eat, Tracy worked at Groupon as part of their sales division.

Moe Abu Zayed, Business Development
A mishmash of quirky facts, interesting trivia and rib busting travel stories, Moe is a Dubai-born, Canadian national of Palestinian descent. Coming from a background in finance and law, he combines a down-to-earth attitude with some serious ambition. In his spare time Moe dabbles, and he dabbles well. This guy is a two time UAE National Champion of Fifa, has been a TV presenter and regularly jets off to exotic locations as a group leader for a travel company. The innovative life-force runs strong in this one too; Moe is a partner in one of the GCC’s hippest community-orientated travel companies.

Mathieu Valayer, Business Development
A recent arrival in sunny Dubai, Mathieu joins eat from France where he worked for the media branch of LVMH, the world’s largest luxury product group, at their headquarters in Paris. With over ten years experience in media and advertising, Mathieu is already closing deals with new restaurants! An experienced traveller, he’s ventured across the globe to all sorts of exciting places, including China, Costa Rica and Tanzania to name just a few. When he’s not indulging his passion for football, hi-tech gadgets and cooking, he’s planning his long-term restaurateur goals of bringing French cuisine to exotic and remote travel destinations. Another foodie at heart!

Zsofia Lejtenyi, Customer Happiness
Heading up our Customer Happiness in Dubai, Zsofia is in charge of making sure restaurants are getting the very best from eat’s products in the United Arab Emirates. Prior to arriving in the UAE a few years ago, Zsofia worked at Sziget Ltd., organizing some of Europe’s largest music festivals. Her background in tourism, hospitality and event management, combined with her borderline obsession of everything food and restaurant related, makes her a natural fit in the eat family! Can’t find her at the office? We suggest heading down to the nearest beach where she’s most probably indulging her recent ambition to become a kite surfing pro.
