It's finally 2018, and if you live in Dubai that can only mean one thing...VAT is here to stay. The much dreaded tax implementation took effect on the first day of the year and has many trying to save that pesky extra 5% any way possible.
If this has caused you to consider dining out less frequently, we have just the solution for you. Two restaurants in Dubai have recently announced that they will be absorbing the VAT for a number of their dishes, brunches, and even drinks! No strings attached.
Check out the two restaurants below and join us in praying that more restaurants in Dubai follow suit.
Nestled in the heart of the Dubai Marina, the ever so popular Bistro Des Artes is one of the two participating restaurants. Guests seeking a meal at the French restaurant do not need to worry about the extra 5% VAT added to the bill. The restaurant will be absorbing the VAT for their weekend brunches, business lunch, and a number of their a la carte dishes.
At Publique, a hit Madinat Jumeirah restaurant, guests will not have to pay VAT on their weekend brunch, happy hours, and a plethora of other dishes.
