Brunch in Bahrain is a biggie, there's no question about it. Fridays are usually marked on most peoples' calendars for some serious indulgence at one of Bahrain's many brunch experiences, and it really does seem this island offers something for everyone. We've rounded up some of the Bahrain brunches that have been generating some amazing feedback recently.
Masso by Chef Susy Massetti
The brunch at Masso is a bit different than the usual, with the focus clearly on the cuisine, which is a delicious array of contemporary Mediterranean fare with a breakfast twist. Unlike other brunches, Masso doesn't offer a typical buffet spread, but gives diners access to the whole a la carte menu, which is then served in small portions straight to your table. It's easy to see why the restaurant has consecutively been awarded best restaurant in Bahrain - the atmosphere is sophisticated, the service is attentive and the food five stars. Available on both Fridays and Saturdays, 12 noon till 4pm.

La Vinoteca Barcelona & Cafe Amsterdam
Two of Bahrain's newer restaurants combine for a brunch that really lets you have a taste of a bit of everything. A la carte options from La Vinoteca gives you access to what is easily the island's best tapas, and Cafe Amsterdam covers the gourmet breakfast options. Chef Joan Gomez is big on making sure his cuisine is full of the freshest and finest ingredients, making for some delicious flavours. Besides the a la carte menu options, you can cash in on a range of seriously gastronomical treats, including paella at the live cooking station, authentic home-made sausages by their in-house butcher and some great roast beef with all the trimmings. This brunch also has kids’ entertainment and live music, making it a sweet spot for a weekend family outing. Available on Saturday, noon to 5pm and priced at 26++ inclusive of alcohol, 22++ with no alcohol, and BD11++ for children aged between 5 to 12 years old.

Rasoi
A little lesser known than the standard bunches, Rasoi at The Ramee Grand Hotel & Spa has a pretty tasty deal when it comes to brunch. They offer a wide variety food, including Mediterranean, Indian, Arabic and Asian cuisines. There's some great live cooking stations and the band plays for the duration of the brunch. Rasoi is known for its high standard of Indian cuisine, and this should definitely be the focal of your food mission if you go to brunch here. The ambiance is cosy and has a nice feel of the sub-continent. Available every weekend from 12:30pm to 3pm for BD10++ without alcohol and BD15 with alcohol.

Le Domain
Tired of the usual noisy brunch scene? Then you're going to dig what The Domain Hotel has on offer on their 34th floor. It's another dual restaurant brunch, with Le Sauvage and Le Domain 34 teaming up to provide the best of both french and grill-room style cuisine. This 'brunch for grown-ups' combines a buffet set-up with an special a la carte menu, allowing you to dig in with the appetisers and enjoy the live cooking stations (lobster guspacio to pan-fried foie gras anyone?) while the kitchen prepares your main course to order. Not ready to go home at closing time? They have a special after brunch party their swanky Txoko bar on floor 36 with live music. Available on Friday from 12pm to 4pm and priced at BD19++ excluding beverages and BD27++ inclusive of unlimited beverages.

One of our favourite Asian restaurant haunts, Bushido has a pretty impressive spread for brunch and the atmosphere is a unique combination of feudal Japan mixed with lots of hustle and bustle. Available on Friday from 12 noon to 3.30pm and priced at BD18.5 with unlimited food and drink.
La Med
La Med at the Ritz Carlton offers a great blend of Arabic breakfast, Mediterranean and Arabic cuisine at their Friday Brunch. Available from 12.30pm to 4.30pm for BD29net!
