6 Must Have Cocktails in Dubai
When it comes to heading out after work in Dubai, we all have our favorite haunts and beverages of choice. But with so many great venues spread all over the city you'd do well to step out and head to one of these joints, where the drinks are as good as the gastronomic food. And while you're there, try some one of these heady cocktails to make it an evening to remember.
Cocktail Kitchen's Not a Shred of Saffron
This chic venue at the Armada Bluebay Hotel in Jumeirah Towers is bringing back the art of the aperitif with their sublime cocktails whipped up by their in-house mixologists. Check out this Vermouth-based blend, combining rock melon, sparkling wine and a pinch of rosemary for a delicate and complex drink. Cocktail Kitchen's unique European interpretation is well known on Dubai's fine-dining scene, made relatively famous thanks to the flavorsome mixture of Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese cuisine options, so we heartily recommend exploring their menu while you sip your beverage. Main plates include a number of options, including our favorite lamb scallopini with roasted vegetables and a sea bass roulade with an olive crust and a caponata and sweet tomato sauce.

Iris' Gentleman's Agreement
Potentially the nicest rooftop location in Business Bay, Iris combines chill lounge music, panoramic views and superb cocktails on the 27th floor of the Oberoi Hotel. the Gentleman's Agreement is on the classier side of their menu list, made with fresh basil and mint leaves for a drink that will revive you after a hectic day at the office. The venue's menu consists of some great global delicacies, and is complimented by a raw bar and a gourmet bar snacks selection. The raw bar’s creative selection includes novelties such as Wasabi salad (diced fresh salmon and squid served with green Ebiko), Seaweed salad (tossed with citrus ponzu sauce) and a tempting selection of Sushi, Maki and Sashimi.
Claw BBQ's XX Rita
Claws BBQ has made a name for itself thanks to their delicious Americana cuisine, with a big emphasis on crabs, but their margarita hybrid mixes are just as deserving of a mention! These concoctions mix up Dos Equids Beer and your choice of margarita mix for a seriously good drink. The venue is as Americana as it comes, complete with neon signs, slogans and flags adorning every potential surface. The staff are decked out in lumberjacks and the drinks are served in square Moonshine jars to add to the theme. CLAW boasts the UAE’s first genuine BBQ wood-chip smoker, making their lobster, ribs, crabs and steaks some of the best you can get in Dubai!
Coya's Merienda de Locos
This award-winning restaurant located at the Four Seasons, Jumeirah Beach Dubai, brings a heady mix of Incan heritage, Latin American culture and traditional Peruvian cuisine all under one roof. Winners of Time Out’s Best Restaurant Award, Coya offers a buzzing atmosphere and a variety of tantalizing dishes that evoke a real essence of Peru. Try out their Merienda de Locos, a Mad Hatter inspired cocktail of infused chamomile syrup and cucumber shrub with Grand Marnier and Gin. For a real taste of the rich flavors of native Peru try out their chimichurri; a South American version of pesto, and the aji Amarillo; a combination of peppers, quinoa, lime and tamarind. Our personal favorite includes the Solomillo des res Wagyu Cabassi 9; a heady combination of Cabassi Wagyu Sirloin, chimichurri, tamarind salsa!
Hakkasan's Smoky Negroni
Located in the iconic Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel, Hakkasan has a range of signature dishes inspired by its London-based Michelin star sister restaurants, and their cocktails are just as good too!The Smoky Negroni, a staple on all Hakkasan menus around the world, is considered the Pan-Asian eatery's iconic signature cocktail. The ingredients can change from location to location, but the one important constant is that they are always seriously good. Compliment your drink with something off their food menu, including dishes such as Peking duck with Royal Beluga caviar, Braised fresh abalone toban with truffle and Jasmine tea smoked Wagyu beef ribs.
El Sur's Customisable Gin & Tonic
El Sur may just be the new best Spanish restaurant in town. A great atmosphere combines with flawless food and excellent service for an all round fantastic fine-dining experience. The venue is not one of those sprawling, endless spaces that you find in many other restaurants in the Emirate, but instead is cozy, intimate and decorated in a smart and chic style. Their Gin and Tonic is nothing like what you're usually used to! Expect a beverage that packs a heavy punch and is garnished with everything from cinnamon sticks and summer berries to flower petals. Enjoy!
